About this website and its operator

This website is operated by PET EUROPE, PRODUCERS’ ASSOCIATION (We/Us). We are a not for profit organisation, registered in Belgium with registration number 0829.158.374. Our registered office and correspondence address is PET EUROPE aisbl, Rue Théodore de Cuyper 100, 1200 Brussels, Belgium and our email address for general enquiries is info@pet-europe.org.  Our VAT registration number is BE 829158374. PET EUROPE is an industry association which does not undertake any commercial activities for profit.

This website contains general information about us, our work, and the European PET resin producers we represent.  Some of the companies we represent are Associate Members. The website contains various content including articles, opinion, news and event information as well as other information about the sector in which we operate.  Further information is provided in these Terms of Use about the content which we provide.

Access to our website and restrictions on use

Access to our website is temporary and we may withdraw or amend the information we provide without notice at any time.  We do not guarantee that our website, or any content on it will always be available or uninterrupted, and we will not be liable if for any reason, our site, any part of it or any of the functions available on it, are unavailable at any time.

You must make all arrangements needed to access our website and ensure that anyone accessing it through your internet connection is aware of and complies with, these Terms of Use.  This will include any of your staff and other representatives who you may authorise to use this website on your behalf, at any time.

From time to time, we may decide to restrict access to some parts of our website to our Associate Members only. For example, our Document Library is available to Primary and Associate Members only. If at any time we issue any usernames and/or passwords, the same must be treated confidentially and not disclosed.  We may disable account usernames or passwords at any time if we believe that you have not, or any person within your organisation has not, complied with any of these Terms of Use.

You must not corrupt the website, flood it with information which causes it to malfunction or use any features which may affect it such as worms, viruses or logic bombs, or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful.  Spam (multiple, unsolicited or undesired bulk emails) is strictly forbidden.

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website, our servers or any server or computer connected to it.  You must not attack our website via a denial-of-service attack or similar.  If you do, you may commit an offence.  We will report any such breach to the relevant authorities, will co-operate with them by disclosing your identity where it is lawful for us to do so, and your right to use our website will end immediately.  We also reserve the right to monitor traffic to our website including to identify unauthorised attempts to upload or change information on our website or otherwise cause damage.

We may prevent or suspend your access to our website if you fail at any time to comply with these Terms of Use, any policies referred to in these Terms of Use or any applicable law.

It is possible to send information to use via the “Contact” section of our website, via email or by contacting us in other ways including by way of the Docshare facility which we make available. Any material you send to us will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary and we will have the right to use, copy, distribute and disclose such material to third parties including by inclusion on our website where we consider it appropriate.  You should therefore not provide any information or content which you do not want to be disclosed and you must not submit information which is copied from another source. We may also disclose your identity to any person who claims that material posted or uploaded by you violates their intellectual property, privacy or other rights.

Any information you send to us whether electronically or otherwise is sent at your own risk. You acknowledge that the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be secure and therefore we will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss of your information or any unauthorised access to or disclosure of the same.

We may remove content or change our website or its content at any time and without notice.  We aim to provide accurate and up to date information on our website. However, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our site is accurate, complete or up to date.  We do not guarantee that particular services or events mentioned on our website will always be available and we may withdraw information, services and content at any time.

From time to time, we publish news items on our website. We do not give any assurance that such news items are current or up to date and such content will remain on our website for reference.

Our website may include information and comments received from other users of the website, for example on our News and Recent Posts  pages. This information has not been verified or approved by us. The views expressed by other users on our website do not represent our views or values.

You must not yourself or allow anyone else to publish, copy, distribute or modify this website or any content whatsoever.  Proprietary works are protected by laws and all such rights are reserved.
